Blaise Alexander Family Dealerships is looking for entry level AND experienced Automotive Mechanic/Service Technicians for our Ford of Mansfield, PA facility.

Job Purpose: Maintains service operations by inspecting and maintaining vehicles.

Duties:

• Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters.
• Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components; repairing body damage.
• Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
• Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
• Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
• Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Must have all necessary certifications including PA state inspection license and emission license.

Blaise Alexander Family Dealerships, a record breaking auto dealer with 15 locations in Central PA, has an opening for a Service Advisor at our Ford of Mansfield location.

The Service Advisor is responsible for scheduling service work in the service department and for and recommending any additional service items a customer's vehicle may need.

Essential duties include:

• Greet customers in a timely, friendly manner.
• Schedule appointments using dealership software.
• Communicate with customers concerning nature of mechanical problems.
• Obtain vehicle and customer data.
• Advise customers about car and value of maintaining their vehicle.
• Maintain CSI rating within manufacturer's specification.
• Explain to customer additional work needed including time and cost required.
• Communicate estimates on parts & labor and obtain customers signature.
• Handle telephone inquiries.
• Establish a time promised and keep customers up to date on progress.

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or Equivalent
• 2 Year experience in a dealership
• General knowledge of mechanical operations
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Salary is commensurate with experience.
